we always get a lot of questions regarding STS prepayment meter tokens. So it is time to clarify the matter for the end users.
|

For you as energy provider, it is more important to have your vending software and security modules updated. Keep in mind, that all STS meters in the field need to be updated with a key-change token before November 2024.
|

|
|
|
|
|
Energy meters with prepayment function are mainly working with the Standard Transfer Specification (STS). There are still some manufacturer specific proprietary solutions in the market.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
If you are using STS prepayment energy meters you might remember that updates are required for the key management centre (KMC), the security modules and the vending software.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
