
The CL3800 Transformer Comprehensive Tester is an intelligent on-site calibration instrument for transformers. It supports on-site verification of the error, secondary impedance, and admittance of protective and metering-type VTs (Voltage Transformers) and CTs (Current Transformers) in field service. It is suitable for the on-site calibration of voltage and current transformers in power grids, power plants, metering systems, and manufacturing enterprises.
Functions
- It not only meets the testing requirements for various types of CTs (e.g., protective, metering, and TP types), including excitation characteristics (voltage-current characteristics), transformation ratio, polarity, secondary winding resistance, secondary load, ratio error, and phase angle error, but also applies to the testing of excitation characteristics, transformation ratio, polarity, and secondary winding resistance for electromagnetic units of all kinds of electromagnetic VTs and capacitive VTs.
- It automatically calculates and outputs key CT parameters such as knee voltage/current, 10% (5%) error curve, accuracy limit factor (ALF), instrument security factor (FS), secondary time constant (Ts), residual magnetism coefficient (Kr), and saturated/unsaturated inductance.
- The testing complies with various new and old transformer standards including GB 1208 (IEC 60044-1), GB 16847 (IEC 60044-6), GB 1207, GB 20840, and IEC 61869. It automatically selects the corresponding standard for performance analysis based on the transformer type and accuracy class.
- Based on the advanced low-frequency testing principle, it is capable of conducting CT tests with a knee point voltage up to 30 kV.

- Data Storage & Management
- The device can store 1000 sets of test data with non-volatile memory (data is not lost when power is off). After the test, data can be uploaded to a PC for further analysis via dedicated software, and a WORD test report can be automatically generated.

- One-click operation completes CT tests for DC resistance, excitation, transformation ratio, and polarity.
