The data concentrator CL818C is the central equipment for advanced metering infrastructure AMI. The concentrator is installed on the low-voltage side of distribution transformers.
The built-in CT meter can be used for line loss and tamper detection.
The communication with the energy meters is via power-line carrier. The connection to the head end system (HES) can be done by cellular.
