The wiring of the meter connects in and out from the meter bottom. It is mounted inaccessible for the user. The user can retrieve power consumption and other information by a user interface unit (UIU)User Interface Unit UIUUser Interface Unit UIU. The communication between MCU and UIU is performed by power line carrier (PLC). The PLC complies with IEEE 1901.2 using OFDM modulation (G3).
