User Interface Unit Simulator

Note: For this animation we have used JavaScript ECMA2019 technology. The name already suggests the year of introduction. If it doesn't work on your PC, it's likely possible that you need a browser update. Usage with cellphone will be fine. Touchscreen is supported.

By now the UIU/CIU short-codes for STS prepayment meters are not unified. We have collected and merged all recent requests.
A UIU is mainly for end-customer information and for some utility requests I have my doubts. Is the customer really interested in the reactive energy in the second quadrant from two years ago? Check the four quadrant simulation to get a better idea.
Usually utility engineers will read the relevant data by optical port or review them in the AMI system.
In order to come to a standardization I would like to collect all your additional/missing items based on a three-phase meter. Short codes for unsupported items will remain at the same position, but with a ‘not in use' indication.

The working principle

CL730S22
electronic energy meter CL730S22

During loading of this website the UIU is connected to a virtual meter. This meter is in the field since more than two years and holds all related parameters consistent.
We have initially a tamper mode for demonstration purpose. The tamper can be cleared by using the drop-down menu.

Once the tamper is cleared, the meter starts to run. You can input token with an acceptance probability of 30% or review the parameters.

    1. Thank you for the interesting question, Tiffany.
There is no code to disconnect the meter. Usually you would trip the main breaker close to the meter to stop the power supply.
If you plan to change your flat, you can ask your power company to clear your credit. In that case, the meter credit is set to zero by a clear-credit-token and the meter disconnects. You will get a refund for the unused units.

  1. hi my user interface unit accepts the token but no power is released what will be the problem

  2. Hi… My clou meter is reading negative in kwh, it does not cut off once the unit is exhausted. Kindly help to resolve it

    1. Depending on your power company contract and allowance, the meter credit can go to negative values. It's called overdraft or emergency credit. Your meter will trip after a certain threshold. So you better top up. The already used overdraft will be deducted from your purchase by the meter automatically.

    1. For CLOU meters the red light shows that there is an abnormal situation.
The problem is either indicated with additional icons or with a text message on the display.

  3. My meter isnt updating the credit reload,,it only shows 0.00 but power is running,,what is the problem

    1. CLOU meters are disconnecting once the meter is running on zero credit. Since you have 0.00 credit and still power, the meter must be from another company.

    1. I suppose, you mean the credit has reached 0.00 kWh. You need to buy a credit token from your power supplier.

  4. Please Meter on Tamper 14260534855
I need the code to open it my phone number xxx

  5. Hello Clou,

Please are you saying the virtual meter paired to this platform are not limited to clou meters

    2) Most UIU information highlighted above are not returned on my cloud meter #54171181XYZ
    Thanks

    1. Actually it's a case study for utilities. The short codes are not unified between the manufacturers and utilities. This is a first approach for unification. Thank you for taking a look.
